Arrival at Jodhpur (Blue City Of Rajasthan)
Pick up from Jodhpur Railway Station/Airport. Check in to the Hotel. Today after breakfast start your day with sightseeing of Meharangarh Fort, is one of the largest forts in India. Build in around 1459 by Rao Jodha, the fort is situated 410 feets above the city. After this visit Jaswant Thada, It was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh of Jodhpur State in 1899 in memory of his father, Maharaja Jaswant Singh 2, and serves as the cremation ground for the royal Rajput family of Marwar. Followed by visit Umaid Bhawan Palace is one of the world’s largest private residences. A part of the palace is managed by Taj Hotels named after Maharaja Umaid Singh, grandfather of the present owner Gaj Singh. The palace has 347 rooms and is the principal residence of the former Jodhpur royal family. A part of the palace is a museum. Overnight stay at Jodhpur.
Jodhpur sightseeing
Today after breakfast first visit Mandore Garden is a town located 9 km north of Jodhpur city. The place is known as the birthplace of Ravana’s wife Mandodari. The ‘Mandore gardens’, with its charming collection of temples and memorials, and its high rock terraces, is another major attraction. The Mandore Gardens also house a government museum, a ‘Hall of Heroes’. After this visit Ghanta Ghar, also known as the clock tower of Jodhour. It was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh (1880-1911) from whom the market takes its name. This place is famous for its spice market. It’s a great place for spice lovers, there are vivid varieties of spices available to choose from at a good price and the general market where one can find each and every item of daily use. Today after breakfast checkout from camp side and drive to Jaisalmer city. Check into your hotel. After taking some rest, if you want then explore the city of Jaisalmer, first visit Jaisalmer Fort, known as Sonar Qila, it is one of the largest forts in the world. After that visit carved sandstone havelis, such as, the Salim Singh ki Haveli and Patwon ki Haveli. Besides these, Gadisar Lake is also an interesting spot that you must visit in this desert city; it is an artificial lake build by Raja Rawal Jaisal. Evening return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Jaisalmer-Bikaner with local sightseeing
After breakfast depart from Jaisalmer to Bikaner. Upon arrival, check into a hotel. Later visit visit Junagarh Fort containing ancient palaces, temples and a mosque. Then, visit Camel breeding farm, here you can see and interact with the camels, go for a camel ride or simply enjoy the sweets & kulfis made using camel milk. Evening free for leisure. Bikaner to Jodhpur drop Via Deshnoke (Rate Temple)
Today after breakfast, checkout from hotel and drive towards Jodhpur, enroute visit Karni Mata mandir also known as Deshnoke temple, Deshnoke is famous for its 600-years old Karni Mata Temple, where the local rats are held sacred. After reaching Jodhpur will drop you at Jodhpur Railway station or Airport.
